We did the sunset drift and it was exactly what we needed after three busy days in Langkawi. No rushing, no schedule. The crew let us just sit and watch the coast go by. The satay was good and the swim stop was optional, which we appreciated since we just wanted to relax.

The Dayang Bunting charter was well organised. The walk to the lake was steeper than I expected, but the guide gave us time to go at our own pace. Lunch onboard was simple but fresh. The cave swim-through was closed due to conditions, but the crew found an alternative snorkelling spot. Would have been five stars if the route had not changed, but I understand weather matters.

The Thai border crossing was the highlight of our Malaysia trip. Three days felt like proper time away. The yacht was comfortable, the chef made excellent food, and the crew knew exactly where to anchor for the best snorkelling. Koh Lipe was beautiful and Tarutao felt completely remote. Worth the passport requirement.

Booked the island charter for a family outing. The boat was clean and the crew were professional. My kids enjoyed the lake visit and snorkelling. Only minor issue was that we had to wait for another group at the jetty because they were late, which cut into our time a bit. Otherwise a good day.

This was our second charter with Deepwell. First time we did the sunset drift, this time the Thai crossing. Both were excellent. The crew remember us from last year which was nice. The yacht is well maintained and the food was even better than we remembered. We will be back.

Australian couple planning anniversary trip wanted maritime experience but concerned about seasickness and rigid schedules common with larger charter operations.
Approach
Booked Thai border crossing with advance notice of seasickness concerns. Crew selected calm route through protected channels, adjusted departure times for better sea conditions, provided ginger tea and seated guests in most stable part of yacht.
Result
Couple completed full three-day voyage without significant discomfort. They returned the following year for repeat booking and referred two other couples from their travel group.

Recommended sunset drift charter as shorter duration better suited to young children. Crew provided child-sized life jackets, set up safe play area on flat pontoon deck, kept route close to shore for psychological comfort.
Result
Children enjoyed the experience and asked to return. Family has since completed three sunset charters and one island charter over eighteen months, with children now comfortable and confident on the water.
